Why is Beaumont People offering this leadership mentoring program?
At Beaumont People, we exist to connect people with organisations that empower them to do meaningful work and to create more opportunities for meaningful work in Australia. We believe in placing people first. It’s how we work with our clients and candidates. It’s the way we contribute to the communities in which we are involved. It’s the focus on ensuring our people thrive, not just succeed. This is what sets us apart.
In line with our purpose and people-centred ethos, we are committed to reinvesting back into our clients and the sectors we operate in by way of our Beaumont People LEADing People Mentoring Program.
How long will the mentor program run for?
The LEADing People Mentoring Program will run for 6 months from 17th June – 26th November 2021. Refer to page 7 for important dates to note.
Is the program open to all industries?
Yes, providing as a mentee you are in a leadership role with direct reports and as a mentor, you have a minimum of 5 years leadership experience managing a minimum of 2 direct reports.
What is considered a charity?
We offer the reduced charity rate to Public Benevolent Institutions, Health Promotion Charities, Environmental Charities and International Aid.
Who do I contact for more information?
If you’re interested in finding out more about the program, please contact Nicole Glasgow, Program Coordinator (02) 9279 2777 or at email@example.com
Why do you need me to provide so much information on my registration form?
The information you provide will help us ‘match’ the right mentee with the right mentor, based on experience, skills and what you both want to achieve from the LEADing People Mentoring Program.
When will I know who I’ve been matched with?
Registrations close on the 23rd May 2021, matching will take place over the following weeks, then by 10th June you will be able to view your matched partner’s details on the Art of Mentoring online platform and initiate contact.
It is important to note we won’t ‘match for matching sake’ if a suitable match is not available, however in all our past programs, every mentee has been matched with their perfect mentor.
What happens next?
You will be invited to join the program launch on 17th June 2021.
Mentees will be asked to complete their strengths profile assessment and 1-hour strengths debriefing session, which will be scheduled at a convenient time for all stakeholders.
You will also be asked to complete a one-hour Art of Mentoring online training session. The training will help provide you with the knowledge and skills to have a successful mentoring relationship.
It will be up to each mentee/mentor pair to establish their own timetables for their one-on-one meetings, which would take place ideally monthly.
What if you are unable to match me with a mentor?
We will endeavour to match all mentees who join our program, provided that we have a suitable mentor and you meet the necessary criteria. Some mentors may not be matched if their expertise/experience is not suitable for any mentees. If we don’t have a suitable match for a mentor (which has never happened before in past programs) you will be entitled to a full refund.
Will discussions between mentees and mentors be confidential?
Absolutely! Great mentee/mentor relationships are based first and foremost on trust. Your participation in the program is confidential and you will agree with your mentoring partner how you will handle confidentiality between you.
You will be asked to sign a code of conduct that confirms your commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of all matters discussed and material shared with your mentoring partner.
What are the two workshops included in the program?
The two interactive workshops are:
- Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
- Motivating And Retaining Your People
These workshops will be delivered by Nina Mapson Bone, Managing Director of Beaumont People and Keynote Speaker.
